The Ultimate Guide

We’ve carefully created the drink pretty stencil shape so it is versatile and can suit different glasses and bakes:

Step-by-Step: How to Use a Drink Pretty Stencil

1. Prepare Your Drink

Your drink should have smooth, stable foam.

For cocktails, shake with egg white or aquafaba to create a thick foam layer.

Tip: Let the drink settle for 5–10 seconds so the foam becomes smooth.

2. Place the Stencil Flat on the Surface

Carefully place the stencil directly on top of the foam.

Make sure it sits flat and steady so the powder doesn’t spread underneath.

If the stencil is small, you can hold it lightly with tweezers.

3. Lightly Dust Your Powder

Using a fine sieve or shaker, gently dust your powder over the stencil.

Best powders for drink art:

• Cocoa powder
• Cinnamon
• Matcha
• Icing sugar
• Edible glitter
• Edible gold dust

Tip: Less is more. Too much powder will blur the design.

4. Lift the Stencil Slowly

Carefully lift the stencil straight up.

Do not slide it across the foam — this can smudge the design.

You should now have a perfect image on your drink.

Pro Tips for Perfect Drink Stencils

  • Use a Very Fine Powder
Fine powders create the sharpest designs.
If your powder is clumpy, run it through a sieve first.

  • Keep the Stencil Dry

Moisture can cause powder to stick and ruin the design.

  • Always wash and dry your stencil completely before using it again.

  • Use the Right Size Stencil
Most coffee cups and cocktail glasses work best with stencils that fit over the diameter of the cup- Drink Pretty's stencils measure 3.5"
Too large and the design will fall over the edges.

  • Work Quickly

Foam can change texture as it sits.
For best results, stencil immediately after making the drink.

How to Clean Your Drink Pretty Stencil

After use:

  1. Rinse in warm water
  2. Use mild soap if needed
  3. Pat dry with a lint-free cloth
  4. Store flat

Avoid scrubbing, as this can damage delicate stencil details.
